JLo's new Aussie love

She’s a famous Hollywood diva, he’s an unknown Australian actor, but is Jennifer Lopez’s chemistry with her new co-star Alex O’Loughlin threatening her marriage?

After all the public arguing and “ring’s off, ring’s on”, spat earlier this year, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony appeared to have finally settled back into family bliss.

And with twins Max and Emme approaching the more manageable age of 18 months, it seemed the perfect time for the actress to return to work making films she loves.

However, it’s not so much her devotion to her current rom-com, The Back-Up Plan, that’s ruffling feathers on the home front, but rather her drop-dead-handsome Australian co-star Alex O’Loughlin, with friends wondering if trouble could be brewing again for the couple.

The 33-year-old, who plays JLo’s love interest in the film, has left Marc jealous with all their innocent flirting on set. So much so that Marc has become far more attentive, frequently stopping by unannounced on the set – which some think just shows his controlling side.

“Marc has a pass to get on the lot any time he likes, and he’ll often show up when he’s least expected,” reveals a crew member. “Jennifer has the twins with her most days, so it’s usually on the pretext of visiting his precious kids but it’s obvious he’s keeping an eye on Alex too.”

In fact, the co-stars have hit it off so much that when they’re not shooting scenes together they’re dropping by one another’s trailers and spending as much time together as possible.

“As one of the biggest movie stars in the world, JLo’s leading men have included Richard Gere, Matthew McConaughey, Ralph Fiennes and Ben Affleck, and yet she was critical in choosing Alex – a relative unknown – as her love interest, despite a string of A-listers lining up for the role,” says the crew member.

JLo has a lot riding on the success of The Back-Up Plan, in which she plays a woman who’s given up on love and decides to have twins via artificial insemination. But just hours after the procedure she meets the man of her dreams, Stan, played by Alex.

It’s essentially her “comeback” movie, says an industry insider. She hasn’t worked for two years since she fell pregnant with the twins and hasn’t had a hit movie in four years.

“A lot of industry people thought she was crazy to choose Alex, but when you see them on screen together it makes total sense. They really sizzle and have incredible chemistry.”
